Catalina cafe is one of my favourite joints in Barcelona and not because Rafa the owner has been amazing enough to let me exhibit in his cafe twice, but also because Catalina is an excellent spot to take refuge from tourists who constantly crowd the streets of el Born. Those who get sidetracked and stumble upon this gem are quite lucky – with great service, damn good food, a cool vibe and the perfect place to see some awesome local art !
I have started a new painting called “charm”. It is a reproduction of a magazine cover that I really liked and wanted to paint . So far so good, painting it layer by layer, I hope to capture its true symbolism : “charm”…hope you like it 🙂
I live in a small town and there’s only so many times one can walk around without seeing the same thing over and over again, I decided one late afternoon to re-discover the paradise town called Sitges and take a closer look so I started to chase shadows (and flowers) and here is what I discovered…
I was visiting Toronto in the summer and was there for about two and a half months, gave me lots of time to paint. I did a “city” series on small wooden blocks (recycled wood from futon bed stands) . They are currently displayed in Toronto in a clothing shop called K-squared .
